Insurance
We will always require proof of insurance if you are renting a storage space with Securum Self Storage. Because it is unusual for items stored outside the home to be included in ordinary house and contents insurance policies, we are pleased to be able to offer an insurance policy through Securum Self Storage and Amica. The insurance cover must reflect the true value of the items being stored, meaning the new replacement cost of all items in your storage. The monthly premium for this is based on the value of the goods or belongings you store with us.

Why is the cost for the insurance excluded from your Self-Storage rent cost?
We know that each customer has their own priorities and contents, and insurance premiums depend on the value of individual belongings. For this reason, insurance is an additional cost if you do not already have a policy in place.
